Steinegg – Eggli – Schwarzenegg – Weissbad
Somewhat demanding in terms of fitness, this hike will please those who prefer sunshine and walking through meadows. With extended breaks, you can easily spend a whole day on the trail.
Leave Steinegg behind you uphill and after the restaurant Schlössli you will leave the road. From now on you can hike across meadows and past the well-kept farmhouses of the Befig area up to the Eggli restaurant. You have reached the highest point of the hike and its time for a panoramic break. Descend over reddish meadows and past scattered «Gädeli» to the Schwarzenegg area at the Gehr property and follow the narrow field road past the beautiful St. Martin Chapel to the main road. After a few steps you will leave the main road to the left and one slope later you will have reached Weissbad.
Tip: Take note of your choice of footwear; if there is fresh snow, use snowshoes, and if there is dew, be sure to wear waterproof shoes, as the meadow will be very wet.
