Round trip high above Seealpsee
Hiking tip to the Berggasthaus Schäfler (mountain inn).
The tour starts at the mountain station of the Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car. A few metres after the Ebenalp mountain inn, where you can stop for a bite to eat, turn left over the edge of the wall and after a few bends you will reach the foot of the wall on the narrow Füessler path. Continue along a well-maintained high-level path with a magnificent view down to the blue-green Seealpsee lake and a pleasant up and down to Altenalp. The finest alpine products are produced here and a refreshment is just what you need, as the mountain path up to the Schäfler now climbs steeply and requires surefootedness. Some parts are very exposed, but are well secured with wire ropes. Once you reach the top, you will be more than rewarded for your efforts. The Schäfler, a first-class viewing summit with an inviting mountain inn, offers fantastic views in all directions and you can also look forward to culinary delights. The descent takes you back to Ebenalp via Alp Chlus on a well-maintained mountain path with great views, where you can take a walk along the panoramic path through the blossoming alpine garden before returning to the valley.
