Bärli-Biber-World

Dive into the newly opened Bärli-Biber-World. In Weissbad, you will find a lovely direct sales shop, an interactive exhibition, and an event room for "Biber baking." The individual tour through the exhibition offers an interesting program for bad weather, where you can learn more about the great tradition of Biber baking. Or, bake your own Bärli-Biber under expert guidance. This is possible every Wednesday afternoon for individuals and can be booked on other days for groups.

What started in the 19th century as a small bread and Biber bakery has now grown into a successful company with nationwide recognition. For the past sixty years, the family business Bischofberger AG has focused entirely on Biber and nut specialties – and it has been a success. Outside the production building of the Bischofbergers, the delightful scent of roasted almonds, cloves, and honey fills the air. Here, at the former home of the two managing directors and brothers Reto and Urs Bischofberger, the famous Biber specialties are made in various shapes and sizes. The recipe for the spice mix for the Bärli-Biber is kept like a treasure. However, it can be revealed that both the almond filling and the honey dough are made in-house by the Bischofbergers, using only the highest quality ingredients for this specialty.
