Museum Appenzell
The Appenzell Museum is dedicated to the cultural history, working and living environment, social and cultural changes in Appenzell Innerrhoden. The focus is on folklore and popular everyday culture. The permanent exhibition includes the once world-famous Appenzell hand embroidery as well as peasant and furniture painting, the emergence of tourism and popular piety. Changing special exhibitions and a varied programme of events deepen and expand the themes. The ‘Geissli-Pass’ takes children to themed stations through the museum and lets them paint, do handicrafts, research and play.
